Cake & Cupcake

Cakes and cupcakes at The Little Daisy Bake Shop are made fresh, never frozen, and we use real butter in our buttercream. That makes our treat delicious, but also requires a little TLC. Here are a few guidelines to help you enjoy our product at its best!

1How long can I wait to consume your treats?

We recommend enjoying our treats the same day you purchase them. We bake our products daily and use fresh ingredients. Our treats may taste great after a few days, but they are best on the day you buy them.

2How do you recommend transport of your cakes and cupcakes?

Please transport cakes and cupcakes on a level, flat surface. We do not recommend putting cakes in strollers, in shopping bags on their sides or in the hands of small children to carry.

3What temperature is best for cakes and cupcakes?

Please use air conditioning in your car if you are traveling a long distance. Please do not leave cakes and cupcakes in a hot car. The butter in the buttercream will turn all wicked witchy in the hot sun and melt.

4How do I store cakes and cupcakes overnight?

Cupcakes should be enjoyed at room temperature. Please do not put cupcakes in the refrigerator. Cakes may be covered and put in the refrigerator, but should be brought to room temperature before eating. Both cakes and cupcakes freeze beautifully.

Cakes with cookie decorations and edible printing should NOT be refrigerated. The colored icing will run.

2What are your hours?

Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am - 2pm for pickup and delivery.

3Does The Little Daisy Bake Shop donate to nonprofit organizations?

The Little Daisy Bake Shop donates leftover baked goods to Toni's Kitchen and MESH (local food pantries). The Little Daisy is also involved in community events and fundraising. Please send all donation requests to donations@thelittledaisybakeshop.com. Due to the high number of inquiries we receive each month, we unfortunately are not able to accommodate all requests.

1How do I place an order?

We invite you to visit our online shop by clicking here, or you can call 973-707-2157. If we are not able to pick up the phone, it means we are baking and helping customers. Please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

2How far in advance do I need to order?

We will always try to accommodate your request, but we highly recommend placing your order as far in advance as possible. We ask for more than a one-week advance notice for larger orders or anything custom.

During the holidays we may ask for more advance notice and we will have signs posted in the Bake Shop as well as information on the web site and Facebook.

*We are no longer taking orders for decorated sugar cookies. We may be able to do sugar cookies for cake decoration. The limit is 4 cookies for a 6" (like our farm cake) 5 cookies for 8"-10" and 6 cookies for a tier and 12".

3Does The Little Daisy Bake Shop cater for weddings, baby showers and other events?

5 Does The Little Daisy Bake Shop rent cupcake stands?

Yes! We have a variety of sizes and styles of cupcake stands. We have photos of all the stands at the Bake Shop. Please come in and take a look and we will be happy to rent you a stand to display your order. We also have a cupcake stand option available for purchase.

6 Can I place an order online?

7 What is the minimum order for custom cupcakes and cookies?

We ask for a minimum of one dozen cupcakes or cookies.

8 Do you ship your baked goods?

9 Can I call and order for same-day pick up?

It depends. If you would like an item that we have in-store, we will try our best to accommodate you. However, we require a one-week advance notice for a personalized cake or cookie favor order.

10 Does The Little Daisy Bake Shop accept credit cards?

We accept all major credit cards

11 Can I walk in and buy four dozen cupcakes?

12Can I have each cupcake decorated with a different color?

We will be happy to do assorted colors. We have a maximum of 3 different colors per dozen.

15I'm purchasing two dozen cupcakes, do I get a discount?

We are happy to give a 10% discount on three dozen or more cupcakes.

16Can I get my photo on the cake?

We can try to get an edible image from an outside partner. We need at least four days advance notice to get the edible image printed.

17What if I have to cancel my order?

For custom cake orders we require 2 days advance notice for cancellations. For cupcake orders and all others we require 24 hours advance notice to cancel. There is a 10% non-refundable fee for all cancellations.



Ingredients

1Are you nut free?

Yes! We are peanut-free and nut-free. We use Americolor food color and Lucks nut-free sprinkles. We do not have nuts in the Bake Shop and none of our products contain nuts, however we cannot guarantee our products for people with severe nut allergies. If you have any questions or concerns about Nut-Free please call us at 973-707-2157, and we will be more than happy to talk with you.

2Are you gluten-free?
The Little Daisy Bake Shop currently does not offer gluten-free products.

3Do you bake everything on site?

Yes we do! We bake every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and in small batches.
